Hale Hau'oli Moku

Princeville sits above Kauai's North Shore, with Hanalei Bay down the hill. Hale Hau'oli Moku, the Happy Island House, is a two-story townhome with two cal king ensuite suites. Downstairs, the living floor opens onto a lanai accompanied by red foliage and palms, and the shops and restaurants of Princeville Center are within walking distance.

Living & Dining
One open room runs from the cream sectional to the kitchen under a tray ceiling, with the dining table set just behind the sectional. Plantation shutters filter the afternoon light over dark hardwood, and the smart TV faces the sectional from a wood console. A powder room is off this floor.

The Kitchen
Cherry-toned cabinets and granite counters run the length of the kitchen, with the cooktop under a stainless hood and a wall oven beneath the built-in microwave. At the far end the counter gives way to a bay of windows and a bar-height table.

The Suites
Stairs rise from the front entry to both bedrooms. The primary suite has a carved four-poster cal king set against a bay of windows, and its ensuite has a tub beside the glass shower and a double vanity. In the second bedroom, a cal king faces its own smart TV, and the ensuite has a walk-in shower. Ceiling fans turn overhead in both rooms, with A/C for humid afternoons.

The Lanai
A lovely spot to enjoy the surroundings at the round glass table and chairs. Take in the red foliage and clean air. Past the hedge, a lawn runs out to the street. Showers that cross the North Shore keep the planting dense and green.
